Waiting on a baby is hard. I remember when I was expecting my first child. It seemed like everyone I knew was having their babies before me, and I was due before they were.
My third child, Patrick and his wife Shaylea are expecting the birth of their first child any day now. I know how she feels. Full, tired, full, uncomfortable, full....you get the picture.
This is my 10th grandchild. This child is just as exciting to wait on as the 1st grandchild. It doesn't matter how many grandchildren you have, each new one is exciting and we, grandparents, want to be involved as much as possible without getting in the way.
Here's to all the mothers who had to wait, and wait, and wait.....We all know your pain, your exhaustion, and your anticipation.
