Well...we have finished 5 weeks of homeschool. This week was by far the hardest one. Monday and Tuesday was horrible. Took Wednesday off, then Thursday was soooo much better and yesterday was even better.
I am so thankful that the Lord helped me get through it. I know this is something He wanted me to do for my youngest child. You see, God has a plan for everyone. He knows what we need above what we want. He is concerned about every aspect of our lives. When we get in to deep, if we call upon His name He will reach down and lift us up. How do we know this?
One night a group of men were in a ship in the middle of the sea. A storm suddenly came up and tossed that ship around like it was a toy boat in a bathtub with a child who is making waves large enough to sink the toy boat. Well, this boat was being tossed like that. The men became fearful and tried their best to hold on. One of them spotted a man walking on the water, coming toward them. They were even more scared, thinking they were seeing a ghost...then they heard those loving words..... "It is I, fear not." One of the men looked and then said.... "If that is You Lord, Let me come to you." Then that one man stepped out of the boat and started taking steps on the water. It is still storming. Waves rolled over each other, the wind whipped the hair, beards and clothing on the man, yet he took steps toward the one who came walking on the water. The waves crashed around him, he kept his eyes on the One, then. Then. This man, who dared to leave the safety of the ship took his eyes off the One who was walking toward him. He started sinking into the rolling, turbulent water. He cried out for help, then a strong hand came reaching for him, helping him up and then into the boat. Then the stormed stopped, the boat stopped taking on water and all was well.
No matter your storm, Jesus is with you, IF you belong to Him. The only prayer that God is obligated to answer from a non-believer, is the cry for salvation. After that He listens and is there to answer you. Whatever your need is, He is there.
My need this week has been patience, and understanding. He delivers.
