The following is a post I saw on facebook. I want to talk about it.
A young lady committed a crime and she was sent to court. The punishment for the crime was life imprisonment. She shed tears for help but to no one available for help. When the case was called in court she started weeping.
Her family and friends who accompanied her started weeping but there was no hope. But something happened. Before the young lady could stand in the witness box a man stood up and the court room was silent. Everyone looked at Him. He was noble and gentle. He stood in the witness box and interceded on behalf of the woman.
The case was difficult, yet He used all His strength, energy and resources to fight on behalf of the woman. After a long legal battle between the man and the accusers, the lady was set free. The lady fell before the man and asked *'WHO ARE YOU'*
The only thing missing from this part of the story is this, the woman didn't ask for forgiveness.
The next day the lady deliberately committed another crime and was sent to the same court.
As soon as she entered the courtroom, she saw the man who interceded for her the previous day on the judgement seat. He was no longer a lawyer, but a judge. With smiles on her face the lady said *'I have come again'*
The man lifted his head and said 'yesterday I was a lawyer, so I fought for you, even when you were guilty. But today I am a judge and my judgement must be fair.' With tears in the ladies eyes she asked for the second time *'WHO ARE YOU'* and the man replied
*"YESTERDAY I WAS YOUR SAVIOR. BUT NOW I AM YOUR JUDGE"*
What do we get out of this story? We get a woman of self-indulgence.
The way to Salvation is being drawn by the Holy Ghost. Another word for it is conviction for our sins. The lifestyle we are living in. The feeling of regret for how we live our lives.
In this story we see the young woman and her family weeping because she had been caught in her sin. She was brought before the court to face her fate. As she was slowly walking to the witness box, her attorney pleaded her case very well. So well in fact that her case was dismissed. She was free to go.
When we come to the alter and ask for forgiveness of our sins, Jesus is standing by God the father pleading our case for forgiveness. His Blood will cover the sin and it will be remembered no more by God. You then become a child of God through His Son Jesus Christ. The next step is living your life according to the Word of God also known as the Bible.
The next part of this story says that she deliberately committed another crime. It is true we as children of God live under Grace and not the Law but that does not give us the right to go out and commit sin. The Word says....
James 4:14-17
14Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. 16But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. 17Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
Jesus came to FULFILL the Law not give you permission to break the Law because He saved you and you are living under GRACE. You can walk away from the Lord and return to your previous lifestyle. That is called Backsliding. And if you die in that state, you will not be entering into Heaven because you threw your salvation away. Don't let that happen.
If you have turned away from the Lord and walked away, there is still time to make it right with Him.
Revelation 2:5
“Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”
You can make it right. Repent. The woman in this story did not. She died in her sin. Once death happens there is no "do overs" for us. We are to live our lives for Him like he is coming back at any minute because He is.
Revelation 22:12-15
12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Today Christ Jesus is our lawyer and redeemer, but a day is coming when He will give a fair judgement to everyone.
*JESUS IS COMING SOON, SO PREPARE TO MEET HIM*.
*JESUS IS COMING SOON, SO PREPARE TO MEET HIM*.
